Beyoncé has received more GRAMMY Awards than any other woman in history
Even before Beyoncé became the most-nominated artist in GRAMMY history, with a whopping 28 wins to date, she had already made history as the most-nominated woman of all time. In 2021, Beyoncé passed Alison Krauss — with 27 wins — to become the woman with the most GRAMMY Awards ever. If Beyoncé wins at least four GRAMMYs in 2023, she will become the artist with the most GRAMMY wins in history — a remarkable feat that no one has yet achieved.
She has been nominated several times with other artists
In addition to her incredible 17 nominations with Jay-Z and nine nominations with Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé has seen tremendous success at the GRAMMYs with several other artists. She has won golden gramophones for her collaborations with iconic artists such as Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Megan Thee Stallion, Saint Jhn and Wizkid. In 2021, Beyoncé was able to celebrate a GRAMMY win with her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, making it even more special.
Beyoncé has also been nominated for her work with other major artists such as Shakira, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Andre 3000, Jack White, Kendrick Lamar, and T.I. and Lil Wayne. Her impressive work with these artists has made her an undeniable force in the music industry.
In the same year, Beyoncé received nominations for both solo and group work
At the 2006 GRAMMY Awards, Destiny’s Child was recognized with four nominations, and went on to take home the award for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for their collaboration with Stevie Wonder on the song “So Amazing.” Additionally, Beyoncé was nominated for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for her solo rendition of Rose Royce’s 1977 single, “Wishing On a Star.”
Beyoncé received ten nominations in one year
Beyoncé has certainly made an impressive showing with her nine nominations for the 2023 GRAMMYs, but it pales in comparison to her extraordinary success in 2009. That year, she was nominated for a record-breaking 10 categories, including Record Of The Year for “Halo,” Album Of The Year for I Am… Sasha Fierce, and Song Of The Year for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” Her performance that night was nothing short of spectacular – she won the Song Of The Year award and ultimately took home a total of six GRAMMYs. It was a night that confirmed her status as one of the all-time greats.
She has received the most nominations for Record Of The Year
It’s official: Queen Bey is now the artist with the most Record Of The Year nominations of all time. With her latest nomination for “Break My Soul” at the 2023 GRAMMYs, Beyoncé has earned a total of eight ROTY nods.
Her record-breaking journey began way back in 2000, when Destiny’s Child was nominated for “Say My Name.” Since then, Beyoncé has been nominated for solo projects and collaborations, earning nods for “Crazy in Love” with Jay-Z in 2004, “Irreplaceable” in 2008, “Halo” in 2010, and “Formation” in 2017. And in 2021, the icon earned two ROTY nominations, for “Black Parade” from The Lion King: The Gift and for “Savage,” her duet with fellow Texan Megan Thee Stallion.
With her eighth Record Of The Year nomination, Beyoncé has made history and cemented her status as the reigning queen of the industry.
